Insect sting allergies - Overview
Only a few stinging insects cause serious allergic reactions. In Germany, bees, wasps, hornets and bumblebees are frequent culprits, especially bees and wasps, due to their large numbers. About 3.2 million Germans (around 4% of the population) are allergic to bee and wasp stings.
