Allergic skin reactions are the most common symptoms of a medication allergy or pseudoallergy. These commonly take the form of a rash on the torso, arms and legs.
Other possible reactions are acute urticaria (hives) and/or swelling of the eyelids or lips. In rare cases, the allergy causes blisters and open sores, especially in the mucous membranes of the mouth and genitalia.
