Allergy-friendly community Baabe

The goal of the ECARF Seal of Quality is the promotion of products and services suitable for allergy sufferers.
Unfortunately, the ideal of a place completely free of allergies can’t be realized. Pollen is carried across entire continents by the wind, and crops, for example, can come into contact with other plants in the field and therefore pick up allergens.
The seal symbolizes practical improvements. Even small changes can make a large difference in the quality of life of an allergic person.

For the first time, travel has been simplified for people with allergies.

The Baltic Sea spa town Baabe has a new deal for vacationers with allergies. Vacation apartments, hotels, pensions, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets have a broad range of special offerings for allergy sufferers.

Those with food allergies can find gluten-free and lactose-free foods in the bistros and cafes, including egg-free ice cream and baked goods. Even the hotels and restaurants without full ECARF certification have special offers directed at those with allergies.

This unique coordination of the town’s offerings means that travellers have a wide range of possibilities to choose from.

An important notice: Allergic persons should always carry medication with them. This is especially important for emergency medication for food allergies. Medical treatment and advice is of course available in Baabe. Yet every person with an allergy should know that freedom from allergies can never be guaranteed, neither at home nr on vacation.
