This regional network of companies, research institutions and clinics from the Berlin-Brandenburg region that are active in the allergology field was initiated by the Clinic for Dermatology, Venerology, and Allergology at the Charité Berlin. The European Union and the Federal State of Berlin promoted the establishment of the network using monies from the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE).

Continued administration of the communication network for allergology is handled by ECARF. It offers a platform for the project's partners and other interested parties to exchange allergy-related information.
