The urticaria network e.V. (UNEV, founded in 2004) is an association of people who share the goal of promoting research on the clinical picture for urticaria (hives), and for improving care for patients with urticaria. Toward this end, UNEV promotes projects, campaigns, and research proposals to

1. research into the causes and treatment of urticaria, or
2. inform urticaria patients about their illness.

Since its foundation in 2004, UNEV's work has been supported by the European Centre of Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF). Furthermore, there are close cooperations between UNEV and the Urticaria Surgery at the University Skin Clinic of Mainz (USS Mainz) and Berlin (USS Berlin).
