What is Mastocytosis?
Mastocytosis is an illness that occurs when too many mast cells are in the body. Mast cells normally help the immune system protect the body against disease, but in patients with mastocytosis, the proliferation of mast cells leads to skin problems, muscle pain, and digestive problems.
