ECARF Seal of Quality awarded to allergy-friendly air purifier

The European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) has honoured the TURMIX AX 510 air cleaner with the ECARF Seal of Quality for products and services suitable for use by allergy sufferers. Evaluation by ECARF allergy experts has shown that the model meets all scientifically determined criteria for certification.

"The air purifier can mean a significant improvement in quality of life for allergy patients," said Prof. Dr. med. Torsten Zuberbier, head of the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF). "The appliance nearly completely eliminates allergens such as dust mites, flower pollen or mould spores from indoor air, alleviating asthma and allergy symptoms."

The air purifier works using electrostatic fields that attract and catch particles like a magnet, even when the appliance is turned off. The permanent filters are washable. The appliance has four power levels and is suitable for room sizes of up to 40 square meters.

The European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) awards the ECARF Seal of Quality according to scientifically determined criteria to products and services suitable for use by allergy sufferers. The Seal offers allergic persons practical solutions to help reduce contact with allergens and allergy triggers.
