ECARF Allergy Seal of Quality for new certification category cafeterias

Cafeterias can pose challenges for allergy sufferers. ECARF-certified cafeterias adapt their offerings to the needs of allergy sufferers. This includes effective allergen management, clear labeling of allergenic ingredients, and alternative foods. Measures such as separate preparation areas, trained staff and allergen-free ingredients minimize the risk of cross-contamination and allergic reactions.

Despite thorough testing, allergic reactions cannot be entirely ruled out.

Since the first seal was awarded in 2006, thousands of certificates have been granted.
