Disposable gloves are essential for people with sensitive skin or atopic dermatitis but they can trigger allergies themselves. Certain professions are particularly at risk due to frequent and prolonged glove use. ECARF certifies allergy-friendly disposable gloves that avoid triggering substances such as latex or powder, providing a safer alternative to prevent allergic reactions like hand eczema or skin rashes.
Despite thorough testing, allergic reactions cannot be entirely ruled out.
Since the first seal was awarded in 2006, thousands of certificates have been granted.
The Allergy Seal of Quality is a service of the ECARF Foundation.
